Only one week after the CSIO Barcelona, the CSIV-B Ambassador Class was celebrated on the Real club de Polo de Barcelona Olympic arena. After two rounds in the big competition, the victory of French rider Isabelle Sejourne and Queen of Lulú concluded the competition. Belgian rider Benedicte Dewz ended second with Ilena VD Mispelaere, whereas Udo Kloetzel and Companion from Germany ended third of the competition.
From the first minute French riders led the competition, getting a total of 8 victories in the 13 competitions through the event.
This new edition of the already traditional CSI V-B Ambassador Class, which main characteristic is that woman must be over 45 years old and while men must be 49, counted with the participation of 7 nations ( Germany, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and Spain), a total of 45 riders and 67 horses.
Antonio Aixerch and Santiago Mercé were the only Spanish participants. Mercé, riding Erkina Heather, managed a third and a fifth position in the small competitions.
