The handing over of BECH’s supportive Easter cake (mona de Pascua) to children in the Cáritas’s Paidós project had an exceptional godmother, rider and Olympic medalist in dressage Beatriz Ferrer-Salat. For the fifth year running, the act took place at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona facilities. The rider was joined by Emilio Zegrí, president of the Fundación Real Club de Polo de Barcelona; Santiago Ferrando, director of the Paidós Badalona center; Cristina García, Director of Corporate Services and General Secretary, and representatives of Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.
“This is a small act but has great symbolic importance because it gives children hope. This cake goes to children who don’t have a godparent to give them one,” says Emilio Zegrí, president of the Fundación Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.
Santiago Ferrando was grateful for the presentation, pointing out that “this is a very important project that helps these 52 children create an emotional context to develop as adults.”
